Member has been in touch and promises I'll have the cheque by Tuesday.

Do most X1/9 owners work abroad? I'm missing something here......Lots of you seem to work in hot countries, and drive an open top old sportscar in rainy UK.

Don't know about the others but having done 3 tours in Bradford this month, I have to go to Cairo for a week first week of july! Work sadly not pleasure but there you go. Not taking the X though. Having to fly and increase my carbon footprint a bit. Mobile will be on though, if you need to contact me, don't rely on e-mail all the time.

Work in a hot country? I wish.....

Best I had was two one week stints in Izmir, Turkey. Would have been nice but during the 1st week I had less than 3 hrs to see the place whilst waiting to go to the airport, and 2nd week I worked 8am - 10pm every day. I think it was hot - but I only every saw Taxi's, the office and the hotel

I'm away to Detroit in a few weeks time (sounds exciting, but believe me it isn't). Don't think I'll be able to bring many struts back in my luggage though Tiff.

As ScottyDog said when away its just taxi-hotel-work - no real time to experience the place. Last time I was there the guy from Ford who was looking after us gave us lifts in his convertible mustang (new one I'm afraid), and even that was a bit lame. And we got pulled over by the local officials for asking why we were *walking* to a restaurant

I believe walking in Detroit is like juggling with live hand grenades.....If you do anything when you are there...PLEEEEEESE Hire a big block Mopar, write my name in BF Goodrich on Woodward Avenue..record it,then take a fotae when the smoke clears.....and bottle the scent too!!!!

Right folks, doing final tally's and keeping records of everyones orders, addresses ect. Final numbers are 88 struts. 44 front,44 rear, all 1500's. I've been keeping an eye on the USA XWEB forum, and seems like the guys over there are buying lots of these struts from Summit too..all good as hopefully KYB will see sense and keep them in their catalogue.

The maximum they will allow me to order through their on-line ordering is 32 units,so will have to get back in touch with the sales advisor I was in contact with before. They have quite a few in stock at the moment, but not enough to fulfil our hoooge order, but quote 10 days to get sufficient numbers for us.

I have recieved £800 in bank transfers,£200 in cash,and £3400 in cheques-totalling 4400 quid!

Updates as they come!!

Sounds superb, let me know of where they are being shipped to. We're going to have to sort them out when they arrive so keep Dave and myself updated as I'm sure you will. :D

I don't mind travelling to pick up, it's least I can do after you have been to all the trouble of arranging etc.

It would make a fun road trip!
