Suspension struts

Just checked the online order tracking system on Summits website... now says expected arrival 07/31/2007...... I'll keep checking back,you can do this yourselves by using the order number in my posting above,on summits website. go to customer service here

and my name : Nowak.

I just read the page and it reads to me as though they will arrive at Summit on the 31st not in the UK. So maybe we have a little while longer to wait.

Got a card from them the other day,the order is all going OK,they just have to wait on the stock coming from KYB,so the whole order is on backorder as they will only send them out once they have the 92 struts.Just have to keep checking their website for the date- I see it has been brought forward to the 30th July.

Good news guys, the struts are on their way!!!!! Website says they were shipped today

Yup, I see they're on the way. Shipping address is your house Tiff. Are they going to be dumped at your house? Any idea of eta?

Told the guy at Summit that we would collect from Glasgow airport? Thats whats happening as far as I know,as for ETA...no idea,depends on flights,customs clearance etc..I'm not sure how it works,if Tax gets paid at the pickup,or billed later.Usually if its delivered to a private address you get a bill at some point later.

ok so looks as if the frieght will be here very shortly. We're gonna have to organise a get together. Any ideas Tiff. You can still bring the stuff here or if you want to split the frieght. Something we're going to have to sort out soon. I have Sunday free and also any evening next week. I finish at 4.30 all next week I think so could make a claim for the stuff and start to move it if required.

Yeah,still a lot to sort out! Frosty, do you know if I have to pay the tax and VAT at the airport,or will I be billed later? Most of the guys I know who have brought in stuff have been billed later,but they get items delivered to their homes? I've sent you an E-mail Ewen,I reckon I should get notified by someone when the parts are ready to collect?

Could everyone who wanted struts please mail me to try and organise how to get them to you,If you want them posted or couriered to you,or if you can collect at Callendar etc..?Glasgow airport is about 70 odd miles from me,so I don't know if its best for me to take them all back to my house and distribute them from there-I have enough room in my garage if need be.

I won't make the national this year as I had thought,I'm off on a bike trip to Poland for 2 weeks

Once all the tax+vat etc is paid,I'll then have to organise getting whats left of your payments back to you,could you also let me know how you want this to be paid.
