I've not had the call I was promised either, typical, no problems in the 'States,no problems getting to here,but as soon as they hit the UK the problems start...! Frosty, are you in MI5 or something??

i plan on being in Glasgow overnight next Thursday.
If they have cleared customs by them would it be easy to collect from you and if so are there any Northwest buyers i could collect for as well?

Could leave them with me if you want, I'm just other side of Glasgow Airport. Even if I'm not around, you are welcome to pick them up from the hoose

Tiff has the good news we can pick the struts up. Will arrange to collect them on Sunday morning at 10am. Anyone close by who wants to collect them please drop Tiff an e-mail.

The struts have landed are are now awaiting distribution via the X1/9 Club network. Here are some images from this mornings hard work. Many thanks to Tiff for arranging the difficult side of things and actually getting this project off the ground. I look forward to the next one....springs perhaps

Ok folks, they're here!!! all 92 delivered safely to Ewen's barn just outside Glasgow- I'm sure there will be some pics to follow!-

Anyway,now begins the task of getting them out to you,some of you have contacted me to collect from Callendar,and some others will be passed on from other members. So,please now contact Ewen to arrange things or organise stuff as he has them safely stored ready for dispatch!

Now, a breakdown of costs now that everything has been paid so far.

Struts: = $5539.35 at $1.997 to the pound + £1.50 card charge =£2775.34

Shipping: =$734.25 at $1.974 to the pound + £1.50 card charge =£373.46

LA + handling charge £52.96
Customs clearance fee £20
Duty at 3% £94.33
VAT at 17.5% on all above £501.56

Totals £3817.65.

Cost per strut £41.4961.... =£41.50 each,or £166.00 per set,pretty much what I first thought!

SO. each set of 4 struts has an overpayment of £34.00

I now need to know how you would like the refund. Paypal or bank transfer would be FAR easier for me rather than loads of cheques,stamps etc. Let me know!
