Hi,
As a new member and not really knowing those involved withn the club it really seems strange that Chris has not felt the need to state his position and outline his plans for the future of the club. Perhaps Les should again state his future plans so that club members can make their
decisions.

Mike

Vote of no confidence is required. A new ballot needed, new positive proactive commitee needed.

Keep fighting Les

Its the only way forward.

I Know both the guys very well, whom are both decent and respectable. But I am too also very disappointed in the lack of communication from the chairman. It would probably be best to stand down rather than thrown out by a mutiny of members. I think Les has the Passion and drive to get this club back to the way it used to be.

Just my views from a member of over 10 years. You have my vote Les.

I'm only a recent member of the ownersclub UK (and a longtime member of club of the Netherlands ). The reason i became a UK member is the enthusiasm of Les en Mark when i met them in the netherlands this year. I don't know chris so i have no opinion on him based on a personal experience.

I'm following this thread for a while and i think it's really stupid that there's a 9 pages long tread on this forum about a newly elected chairman who hasn't responded to his members ever since. Les you have my vote for you as a chairman (i seriously regret that i haven't voted the first time (because i didn't live in the uk i didn't vote).

I'm looking forward to a nice 40th anniversary meeting in the UK, organised/commited by an active chairman . don't let me make the trip to the UK for nothing.

Sadly, Agree re No response!!

Newly elected Chairman, set out Manifesto, Won...

& has done NOTHING since. :x

WHY did you stand?? :?

You have done Nothing since the result... apart from your reaction to Les' broad email...

He was pushing the boundaries ... but can now see why...

It's been the Only thing to which you have responded

Sorry to push... but I'm Yorkshire ...

I still really don't have a view on the rights and wrongs of this argument but clearly the whole thing needs to be moved on other than through this post!

Chris, I have never met you but from what I have read most people seem to agree you are a decent sort. I am willing therefore not to pay much notice to allegations of vote rigging. But But But ... if you really want the job then you just can't decide to be absent. That is not fair to the vast majority of ordinary members who did not vote for you. Do you not have to work harder for them than those who are loyal to you? And, no it is not acceptable to have the arguments in secret otherwise the scab will just keep getting picked at for ever and a day.

Say something please.

right guys i have kept out of this til now,Rachael ok facebook isn't for you but its not all about people's adverts, its a great group with great people, many of them are members of this club who would rather chat on the facebook than on here...why? because there are no ego's to be stimulated everyone is equal which is something you can't say about this club,i have deleted comments and threads from the facebook group slagging off this owners club, this was a great club but now all the bickering is dragging it down,a chairman is meant to be a leader who comes out fighting when he needs to,the clubs survival is far more important than chris's survival as a chairman,to ignore the plea's for answers is insulting to its members,Les and Mark are loyal to the club they want it to survive for many, many years, they have shown a passion for the club that is sadly lacking from the leadership, rachael you go on about adverts,in the last 3 months we have had maybe 4 0r 5 adverts for parts in total, yes 2 from giuseppe which is not a lot,if someone has parts for sale that save another car from the scrap yard then thats fine by me,this club lets its members advertise for free, stop slagging off the group it has not done anything wrong, its lively and vibrant, friendly and informative, for example one member on here had a problem with braided brake hoses and no one answered on here but Les put the problem on the facebook and almost immediately the answer was given to Les,we have more traffic/comments in one day than this forum does in a month, lets also not forget the facebook group also got 14 members to join your owners club because the idea was to promote this club not be a rival,i have been a member of this club off/on since 1994 and my renewal sits on my desk waiting for me to send back, but i will not re-new til we have a chairman who wants to be a proper leader and chris has been online because he is on facebook nearly everyday, don't divert and blame facebook for the club's downfall ,its down to one man who does not even have an x1/9 on road and has not done so for many years, where's the passion for the car? Rob warren is a great advert for this club, very passionate about x1/9s and this club others could do well to match his efforts, please stop arguing among yourselves,no one can win this way, chris stand up and give the answers,we all know your reading this thread so do the right thing and step down, too much damage has been done, show some respect to the membership,at least 6 members in the tvs region have/will let their membership expire,i held a xmas meet with 14 members in attendance the highest attendance i have had for over a year and their disappointment in what has happened regarding the clubs leadership has left a bad taste,no one person is bigger than this club....or are they? ...pete
