Only wish that your hard work put into last years national could of had the same weather would like to say been there seen it and done it brought back lots of memories of past visits to North Scotland so when do we do a trip to Papa Westray or how about Kirkwall or do the Macmidges travel that far in summer as well?

Well what we need is someone to do a write up. We have plenty of pics but who's going to write the report? I had a notion that Richard was going to write something.

And no picutres without members turning up so was nice to see a good turn out.

I had a great time and the weather on Sunday was just superb.

Hi Ewen,

Thanks for the fabulous pics. I've written up a quite lengthy diary of the weekend. Question is, should it be posted here or sent to the mag....? I'll email it to you and Ian for comments shortly.

Hi Richard, would be nice to see the write up in the magazine. I reckon anyone that took photos should try to put together a few in an e-mail and send it to the editor or.........send it to one person possibly you, who could send off the article complete with accompanying photos to Andy the ed. What do we all think? If we can get this in for the 9th August that would give Andy a nice start to the next mag. I have to finish off a couple of articles that can be used in future mags.

Just noticed Hugh and Jan's exxie in those photos - a rarer site than seeing a wee haggis running about on the foothills!

On a more serious note, I am about halfway through a write up of the weekend. Perhaps when finished it could be posted here and Richards should go in the mag? I suspect that Richards will be better than mine but I would like to see mine out there in some capacity - otherwise there is no point in finishing it.

Go for it David, one version for the internet punters and one for the public a large. It is good to see you enjoying the car now Tiff has sorted some of the wee problems. Nothing better than to have a wee Italian sports car to take out on a sunny weekend and to forget the trials and tribulations of life. Roof off, burble behind your head and an empty Scottish country road.........the best things in life make the heart pump hard and fast. To the next instalment of the X1/9 story wherever that maybe.....Amen

:D  :P :x   These faces sum up all the feelings one can have when out in an X1/9. Life with an X1/9 is certainly never boring.
