Thanks for the reply. not to worry I was more interested in the casing than the internals.

I have decided to keep the 4sp and have ordered the repare parts.

You are only old once so I might as well do the job right and then its done.

If I get another box 4 or 5 speed, I could end up with a rebuild anyway.

Will post photos of bits and bobs when they arrive if people are interested.

Hi everyone

things are progressing. Have started to put my gearbox back together and I am remounting the rear suspension so it can go back on its wheels. Hope to have it down to the bodyshop in a couple of weeks to get the engine bay sorted.

We are having great weather just now and I wish it was on the road. Oh well.
