Ignore it all Geoff...

You keep going mate.....even if progress slows, of even stops, the main thing is that the intention and your enthusiasm is there....

Your enthusiasm and constant club involvement, even without having the car up and on the road, has put many other club members to shame...
and don't forget to remind those of that, who will also probably, come the unveiling meet, start looking around the car and winge "well, this that and the other aren't right or as Bertone intended etc etc.." (I'm sure there will be some...so be warned)

Even if your progress is just giving the resto a good coat of looking at, it is atleast one more coat it wouldn't have had otherwise.

Keep it up Geoff :D

As far as I remember, I said " Hello my dear old, mum, I love you, oh and by the way, did you know my car just failed the mot on a blowing exhaust and a cracked windscreen? - will it be ok to use the garage for a few days to sort it out, if I mow the lawn for you???
(At that time, I didnt mention the advisory note on the failure certificate,
detailing the front turret and footwell rust.)
From then on, it became a case of - "well, while I`ve got this off" - and-
"since I can now get to that" - to - "no point in doing this, without doing that while I`m at it"
Then I discovered the club, - and the rest - as they say - is history!!!

Oh and Joe - you have correctly got me weighed up - if the time I have spent, looking at, and thinking about, was converted into DOING, then it would have been done ages ago! (that old exhaust of yours is one of the mods that does need lots of looking at though! Sod the purists, I say, -as far as I am concerned, any and all things that are designed have room for improvement, for each individuals requirements! )

My big worry about Geoff finishing the car is what will he do in his spare time afterwards? He'll have to take it apart again and start over... :!:

If you decide to saw it in half Geoff, can I have the back as a trailer :?: Seriously though Geoff, hurry up mate, I don't know how much longer mine's gonna last and I'll need a ride 8)
