Barrie Jervis' Car

I spoke to Barrie today... He had finished his car and it was on the road.. all was well until... an electrical fault brought it to an abrupt halt and it had to be pushed back to the house... Back to the drawing board and the wife said those immortal words "Will it ever be finished?"

Barrie was very up about it, just another challenge; though it was one he really could have done without right now!

So folks, once this short... thought to be somewhere around the steering column (which from memory could mean several circuits including the ignition) has been sorted, the so far unseen vehicle may well appear in the flesh so to speak... it was becoming as much a legend as Geoff's car... much talked about but never actually seen... watch this space it may yet reveal a new (previously unseen) car.

Haha! - you really enjoy ribbing poor Geoff about his car Paul! :P in fact i think we should sell tickets to the grand event of Geoff unveiling his car to an ususpecting public... picture the scene -Geoff's beast atop a grand stage, have scantily-clad ladies pulling a silk cover off it as dry ice rolls across the setting... it would be a sell-out! Of course it goes without saying the highlight of the event would be watching you, Paul faint with shock! you'd have to nick one of Martin's hats and eat it......

If Satnam's 1300 engine totally sorted, probably cleaner than when they came out of the factory is anything to go by, the car will be too nice to actually use properly *

* use properly = rev gauge being 'exercised' , car sideways with wheels spinning for grim death! lol

Ha Ha . very droll chaps! - but the stick I get from you guys in the club, pales into insignificance compared to my "ordinary" mates, who are waiting for me to give up on it, and hacksaw it in half,- in order to scrap it, - just like I did to another old car (classic capri), I was ahlfway to restoring, way back in the seventies! ............
but thats another story!!
Suffice to say that the unveiling will be at a specially arranged pub meet,
hopefully in the spring, where I will personally stand all the drinks. It will be worth it just to see the legendary PCM jaw, drop to the tarmac!!

Never mind how easily Geoff can be made to fall over. I'll fall over just from the excitement of seeing his car finished. :o
From the couple of pics I have seen it looks like a restoration to shame the rest of us. Amazing job Geoff, keep going!!
