I just get frustrated with the classic car movement that gets all in a tizzy with cars that were just average run of the mill stuff back in the day.
As it happens I sort of agree with you.
I’ve been looking for another X1/9 for a while now but I have been quoted quite simply some ridiculous prices.
Just because one sold at auction for £17,000 a few years ago doesn’t mean they are all worth that amount.
In fact only yesterday a GF popped up with an asking price on £15,000.
So in reality most sellers DO price their cars too high and not realistically especially if they look at recent sales of the same model, not just a one off sale at an auction house.
Unlike Jason, I actually don’t wish to know how much you got for scrappage as it will probably upset me since I’ve been looking for a VS for quite a while now.

So you haven’t part exchanged it for a Fiesta?
