The X1/9s all looked great - just a shame they where so far out, off the main drag, but well worth exporing up that way.
I also have quite a few pics and some videos of the hill climbing if anyone is interested.
I also love the idea of a X1/9 meets X1/20 meet up, I think it would be very interesting look at the evolution close up.

Cool and the gang! I'll keep you guys posted on the number of available places for those who want to play, and really looking forward to seeing both cars at an event. I think it will be a great opportunity for both to appreciate the differences. I am going to be keeping an eye out for a lost cause to buy and bring back to life again.
Not been to Curborough, but will be there this year. Will be good to push the limits of the car in a 'safe' environment! Will be working on the steering as mine is a bit heavy at lower speeds. Rack and column to be rebuilt, and may try solid mounting the rack too.
Cheers
Darren

The electronic ignition module! I fitted my spare and the car instantly picked up rev's again providing normal acceleration.
Took it for a spin to find out that the tracking is now out (I guess from the AA's choice of towing point?) and that 5th and then reverse can't be selected (not sure what caused that), but they're both easy fixes.
Thanks again to all for your support.

Glad you got it sorted in the end - I know it ended up being the module, but overhauling the carbs means that you won't have to worry about them for a while now!
Hope you get the tracking and gear selection sorted out soon and hope to see you at another event soon.
Anyone going to Stanford Hall this weekend?
Cheers

The track day and Tech Forum is nearly here for those of you who are still interested in coming along. Full details are here - www.montecarlo.org.uk/forum/index.php?topic=862.0
Basically, track day is on Friday 7th September at Curborough. Free to pitch up and if you bring a crash helmet I'm sure you'll be able to get a ride in most of the cars, if not a drive if the owners are agreeable. We might even be able to squeeze an X1/9 in there too, even if all places have been taken. Sorry, but can't promise on that, but extra incentives to come along, apart from meeting a load of like minded Italian car nuts, Kevin Leaper (a new Monte owner) from PPC magazine and photographer, as well as a surprise car/guest, which I have been told is worth visiting for on it's own. Last year we have a GP sidecar outfit on site, offering rides to anyone brave enough to hang on!
The Tech Forum topic this year is suspension, which could be useful to you lot too. The venue is here - www.cedartreehotel.com/ and the cost for non Consortium members is £12.00, which includes tea/coffee
Would be great to see any of you there. If you need any other information, please feel free to reply or email me at lancianut69 at tiscali dot co dot uk
Please let know if you're interested/want to come along to either/both so we know how many to expect.
Cheers
Darren

That's great! The MonsterMonte will be there (Supercharged V6) too and look forward to seeing the 'BAD' X1/9 on the day. Ok, so that's one for sure and a possible - come on guys, any more?
Cheers
