THE NATIONAL MEET 2011

lets hope you get the details in time for the next magazine or people will only know when it's too late to get the time off etc,i think this should have been sorted out months ago,i have never known it to be left this late,more effort needed by those involved

Come on guys lets not give people a hard time as it is a danger that bad feeling may spill into the event itself. I, for one am looking to have a good time without any underlying grumpiness.

As I am sure you all will appreciate everyone's time is precious, and everyone has other commitments outside our great little club including the good chaps who organise the big events and do all the hard work that goes into it.

For me I can't believe how quickly this year has slipped by already and I havent done half the things I planned.

So from me

Chris keep up the good work. I wait patiently for details. If the dates dont suit me this year it's not the end if the world as there is next year already approaching far too quickly.

it's not about giving people a hard time at all,these things need forward planning,the company i work for has about 90 workers and as head of my dept i am limited by the time i can have off,it has to be when other heads of dept are not off,as a regional officer i am asked constantly when is the national meet and i can't tell them because i don't know,the common response is 'i want to come to it but work commitments mean my time off has to be well in advance of notice' if we want a good turn out then people need to be told in advance,not everyone comes on this site so the info needs to really be in the next mag which i believe is in the next couple of weeks.....

Lets hope that the NATIONAL EVENTS section of this web page gets up dated as that is saying Nothing !! and that is open to non members who always like to moan that we do nothing in there area !!

very true frosty,i had someone moan about there being no meets in their area,so i held a meet within 3 miles of their home,in fact there was 13 members within a 15 mile radius,yet none of them turned up,i travelled 35 miles each way,one member travelled 25 miles and another travelled 65 miles .....i won't be holding one there again and they only have themselves to blame,the weather was perfect x1/9 roof off weather and we 3 members had a great time and sunday roast

hi chris any more updates for the national meet? i need to know soon or i wont be coming,seems to be taking too long to sort out,if your too busy maybe you can pass it on to someone else...last year the national meet was sorted by february...i have little confidence its going to happen this year

Hi all,

The National event IS happening, on the first weekend in Sepetember. It's being arranged by the committee as a whole (that's the main committee AND the Regional Organisers), not just by me, and there's a lot going on 'behind the scenes' to get it going.

Once it all comes together we can confirm more details for you all.
