Magazines featuring the X1/9

Partly connected to my new role as Publicity Officer for the club, and partly for my own personal gain I'd like to create an archive of old magazine articles featuring the X1/9.

If anyone has a magazine featuring the X19 in any way, shape or form from over the years, and you'd be willing for me to get my grubby paws on it for a day then please let me know, either below or by using the PM / email buttons . I'll catalogue the article / magazine and return it in the same condition. And I'll pay for all postage costs.

The results will be available for all.

Classics Oct 2002 has a 'buyers guide' featuring a red over black D132 ELE.
And I also have a couple (not complete set) Car Mechanics 'project car' featuring red VPM 95Y.
If that helps I can send them to you?

Wow, I hadn't really thought about that. I guess any language will do really !

Are the committe willing to agree to pay for a large collection of X1/9 magazines know idea how many but would of thought about thirty plus

I sent the Classics and one Car Mechanics .. couldn't find the other two sorry.
Dont worry regarding postage or returns Chris, use them and bin them, I only used them for sort of reference before I bought my tub. :lol:

I have a book (cant remember title as I'me writing this at work ! ) containing contemporary magazine articles of the X1/9 from UK and USA magazines of the 1970s & 1980s

That sounds really interesting - any chance you can dig out more details on it ?

Think this might be the book Stuart is referring to - can be had for cheaper than this in the UK though, they come up from time to time...

Hi Chris, a couple of years ago I came across, on e-bay, an item for sale where someone had gone through all their old car magazines and cut out and arranged articles for each seperate car. Obviously I bought the X1/9 ones, they went for about £5. Some of the articles I'm not sure which magazines they come from as they're cut out without the titles, but here goes:

I think I have the book Stuart mentioned aswell. It's called Fiat X1/9 Gold Portfolio and has 40-50 articles from around the world from '73-'89.
