Not to show off or anything but I am currently working on a 4 photo avatar that rotates my 1500 on the drive of my house ! :P

I have compressed it twice but as soon as you store it as an animated GIF it goes up to about 27K ! :roll: The browser version of the Flash file is only 1.2K but will not load to the forum (Darn !)

Tony, you need to resize the picture in something like Adobe Photoshop (there is a trial version on the web) and then save it for web as a JPEG at about 75% quality. This should do it.

Windows XP also has Windows Picture Editor and this is good too. Resize it then Compress it. You have 3 options. Use the ones for web or mail, see what comes out.

The offer is still there to e-mail me and I will resize it etc for anyone who wants an avatar.

Well there it is !

Not as smooth as I would like it. It works better in explorer. Might be something to do with the file upload / settings etc

I will work on it.............................. Something to pass the time.

PS ARTICLES NEEDED FOR THE MAG. LOTS OF PICTURES TOO PLEASE

Phil is that bottle of tippex for the out side or the in side of Joes car
talking of AVSTARS will have to wait for Geoff to reinstate the photo
of the Chairman although there were some very dodgee photos of him
in Italy
