[Still having headlight issues despite all endevers my headlights still have a mind of thier own and are operating one headlight ossilating up and down continuosly with out ignition switch on has anyone else encountered this problem regards Simon
I think the culprit here is the little diode within the headlamp motor - it simply steers the current in one direction from the parking position of the headlamp. It signals the appropriate relay in the fusebox to switch off, very similar to the wipers parking. While the electronic component - a diode - which one isn't critical so look for part numbers:- IN4004, IN4007, IN5404 etc (they are around 4p to 20p each). Instructions on the www how to change them.
