Hi
Just wondered if anybody has a view on headers and gains etc. I read that the standard manifold is pretty good for flow and whether its worth the extra money or does anyone have any for sale thanks

A tubular would in theory allow the exhaust gas to exit more efficiently and so you can the next charge in quicker. But, that also depends on the other side of the system, will the carb flow enough air, restrictive air filters, valve lift, etc. I would suggest on another wise standard engine the gains are not worth the cost, the standard design is pretty good. I would have thought you'd be looking at 100hp+ to warrant a tubular manifold - very happy to be told otherwise
