What is the best oil for a standard Bertone 88 1500 engine please?

You need ZDPP (zinc and phosphorus) at 1200 ppm or 0.12% min for the flat tappet design of the engine. Online it’s possible to find ACPI SN oils but they don’t contain enough ZDDP in general however there are a number of SL rated oils like Millers Pistoneeze or Comma XT2000 that contain enough and are reasonably priced

Yes, both are although the Millers is also available as 20w40
