Won't crank over?

Afternoon all,
My Exey has been parked idle for a month or so, although I have been starting her regularly, most recently two days ago.
Seeing as how it was a nice day today, I thought I would take it for a blast and guess what? She doesn't want to play.
The battery is fine (12.9v), all dash lights operate as you would expect, headlights come up and come on but, when the ignition key is turned against spring tension, the starter motor doesn't crank over.
I "think" I can here a faint click from the fuse box area when I attempt to start but the neighbour was knocking a wall down so I couldnt be sure.
Any suggestions? Is there a basic fiat fault I am unaware of or is it out with the test light?
Cheers all,
Hywel

Try the gearbox earth strap.

Thanks David,

It wasn't that lead but while I was under the back of the car, I noticed that the signal wire had come off the starter solenoid.

She started right up!
