Hi , Could any one tell me if the metal coolant pipes that run from front to rear on the x19 are the same on the 1300 and 1500 models ? Has any one fitted any ? Are they easy to fit ?

Hi there,

The metal coolant pipes that run underneath the car are the same on both the 1300 and 1500.

Replacing these pipes is not an easy job. They run through a box section under the cabin area. This is held in place with about 50 spot welds which need to be drilled out to get the box section off.
Another option could be to sleeve the existing pipes with a slightly smaller diameter pipe. this saves removing the box section.

There have been a few metho0ds used over the years. But if you search this forum you will find previous posts about this subject.
