Body shop Nottingham / Derby

I have a series special 1300 which I bought as a project 2 years ago, car is completely stripped to a bare shell and has had a little work done, windscreen surround has been replaced as well as some other work. Unfortunately I have moved house and don’t have garage. The shell is stored at a neighbours and I won’t have a suitable garage until later in the year. I’ve decided it’s time to admit defeat and pay to get the bodywork done. Can anybody recommend a good restorer around Notts/Derby. TIA

Have either of you now used Rust Republic?
I'd like to know how you've found their workmanship.
I'll also need a body shop and they are quite close by.

I sold my x1/9, but they’ve done work for me on other cars and I’ve been happy with the results. They are best at bodywork and mechanical refurbishment. They can do some retrimming etc but will outsource things like seats - I’d find a proper specialist interior trimmer to handle this side of things.

Take a look at their Facebook page (google it) for lots of photos of projects. They’ll be happy for you to drop in and take a look at projects they’re currently working on if you like - they usually have a few at various stages of restoration.

Hi, never used them but only heard good things about them. May be trying them myself soon though as my local body shop quoted me £24k just for bodywork and paint of a stripped shell!
