How old is the fuel in the tank? Also, worth checking the condition of your fuel lines while you're at it and replacing if they haven't been done recently.
Modern fuel degrades the material of older fuel lines with obvious consequences.
Is there an inline fuel filter? Check the condition of that and replace if necessary.
