Started to strip the engine ready for removal this week, unfortunately one of the bolts sheared, I'm left with about 1mm of thread showing. Anybody know the best way to remove this?

Also attached a picture of the thermostat housing, I'm guessing a new one is required, are these the same as 1500's and are they still available or am I going to have to find a used one?

Thanks.

Get some good HSS drill bits and an 8mm tap and it should drill out ready to re-tap new threads.
I have done this on my manifold studs when the engine was out and had no issues, you can also buy an easy out kit from r removing these although I haven't tried one

Best of luck

Drilling and using an easy out has worked for me, also the use of Plus Gas penetrating oil. When you drill a hole for the easy out, a reverse thread stud remover, the streses inside the stud are reduced, that is when to appply the oil, leave it for a day or so then use the easy out, the biggest that will fit.
