Hi I spoke to I nice gentleman on the X19 stand at the NEC Classic car show and we spoke for quite a while, I do hope I didn't bore him I did ask for his name but forgot...I apologise in advance for that. But he asked how I managed and where I obtained my engine bay heat shield, I said I couldn't remember but I'll post the details on the club forum.

So here it is...
The heat shield came from a company called Textile Technologies Ltd. I found it on Amazon. I purchased a sheet of Acoustic Heat Shield 1000mm x 800mm with a self adhesive backing...I found it very easy to work with it's a great product.

Rather than apply it in one piece I cut in half it seemed easier that way, I made a paper template and transferred it to the heat shield and cut it out using a strong blade and a sturdy pair of scissors.

One thing I would recommend would be to remove the engine.

Hi David,

It was Steve Farrall who you spoke to at the NEC.
(He had the tone tone VS.)

Thanks for putting the information on the forum as quite a lot of people ask about the heat shield material.
