Keep us updated with the restoration and good luck with the project. As these cars get rarer, its great to see people putting time and effort into restoring them.

I don't think your mad just crazy like myself. I started restoring my X'y 3 years ago a proper nuts and bolt job. have a look at my thread... I've come a long way since but it's been a journey I've still got a way to go. If I can help in any way please let me know.

She is home now and really is a lovely thing! I spent a fair few minutes marveling at the intricacy of the front boot release

ha I thought so! Looks good, although I want mine to be stock (repairing will be difficult enough without mods!) I do like the de-bumpered look!

on another note, i couldnt resist testing a battery on her... (borrowed from swmbo's rav4 so it was returned double lively!) all electrics seem to work, she turns on the key but wont fire, not that i was expecting her too after sitting all those years. still was nice to hear, and obviously the engine will be getting a thorough going over later. i personally think the fuel pump could do with a strip down, however i have a good used item on its way along with release bearing, backing plate and slave cylinder for the clutch. anyway, have some photos! have removed most of the rust shavings from the bottom of the Apillar, what do you guys think? nice to see her eyes too!
