Engine Bay Refresh? was created by JB
I'm noticing a fair few X1/9s that look great on the outside but quite often have tatty looking engine bays.
How easy or difficult is it to refresh the engine and engine bay without removing the engine itself?
Can you buy the engine bay stickers, original or otherwise?

Autoglym engine degreaser and a couple of cloths and some labour will work well. Once clean use autoglym vinyl and rubber cleaner to spray over and allow it to dry.

My car has a K&N air filter and I've bought an original to replace it for the sake of originality. I'm intending to get it powder coated but wondered what the original finish of these were, so many seem to have been repainted. I'm thinking either gloss black or satin black. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

my engine bay looks like a dogs breakfast after this last weekend chasing the poor running fault.

I reckon my motor will need to come out to do the job properly but that can wait a year or two.

That one above is very well presented
