Could anybody tell me if it is possible to source ball joint kits, and if so, where?
Eurosport does them complete as a bolt-on fitting but at £130 each I'd prefer a cheaper solution which does not involve binning the two joints my garage carefully removed from the arms.
thanks
Jim

To be honest Claire's price is pretty damn cheap: up until about a year ago there was only one source of these and they where around £225 EACH. I plan to get a set myself from Claire soon.
The only other options you have are:
1) Buy a set of good second hand arms: they do come up but bearing in mind that even the youngest of these will be 27 years old I'm dubious as to how long you will get out of them.
2) Buy a complete new-old-stock arm set: these are available on ebay from £300 - £500 per arm. I'd want to know how they where stored thou, as unless they been kept in a dry place the ball joints could easily be shot with rust.
Regards
Craig.

Thank-you Craig
You are right - it's just a bit annoying not to be able to simply replace the worn ball piece which would probably cost a fiver.
in google searches for ball joints I find endless offers for hip replacements - this seems appropriate as I'll probably be on a list for a new hip by the time I finish paying for this work ...
Regards
Jim
