Hi I need a new switch for my 1500 however I can not find one anywhere for sale.
Does anyone on here know where they can be purchased or know of another fiat that shares the part?

I will take a picture when I get out to the car but it's rectangular with a window picture to one side then the two buttons next to each other with the corresponding arrows printed on top of the buttons.

Only need on I have switched them round and one works but the other doesn't.

If not can anyone give me an idiots guide to cleaning them up? I have tried a bit of WD40 but it made no difference.

Thanks

Tony

Tony - you can take them apart easily with a small electrical screw driver. Clean up the contacts with something abrasive like some 1200 wet and dry. Pop it back together and you will find all is well, I'm sure. Always worked with every one I've had.

Thanks for the replies car is a 1988 model.

I will give it a go tonight Rob, one of my friends has just rang me to say he has a "rotten" x1/9 I can harvest tomorrow so I will have a drive over and see what it has, not sure of the model but I will try and get a few good bits. However if it looks saveable I may just take it off his hands.

If that fails you can fit cinquecento sporting electric window switches which work and look nicer

Well the parts car was under 10 foot of overgrown garden!! And a manual window car!! I will post a picture later but it wasn't pretty viewing.

Anyway I got the switch off and took it apart and found one of the two switch padels on the bottom had come off, so after cleaning it all I have put it back together and will give it a try on the car tomorrow.

If not I just found a cinq switch on fleabay so if all else fails I can get a back up.

Thanks for all the help
