paint and paint code was created by David Thompson
Hi I have an 89 Grand Finale (see the Spring 2013 club Magazine) in bleu micalizzato number 224.845 - 407B. I want to buy a couple of spray cans of this colour but am having difficulty finding a supplier. Does anybody have a good reliable paint supplier they could recommend. My local paint supplier did not list 407B ontheir computer. Cheers David
Hi Thanks to everyone that replied to help me. This is the first time I have used this forum - it only confirm what I put in my article - the X-19 Club is 1st class.

I used Paints 4u and they were very good. I had three cans mixed for my mica red GF and they arrived in two days and the match was really good.

Paint codes for Mica Red (408) and Mica Blue (407) (1988 to 1989) are not listed in Fiat paint catalogues (they are Bertone colours) but are listed in Volvo paint catalogues. The colours used on the contemporary Volvo 780 are identical to those used on the X1/9 (even using the same 408/407 codes) as the two cars were produced, and painted, by Bertone in the same factory at the same time.

I got a rattle can of the mica blue made up at Halfords. The colour match is fine for touching in stone chips etc, but I've not needed to use it on a larger area.
