Having unfortunately failed to locate my first car, an X1/9 1300 Lido, Reg. ALM 273S (last registered/taxed in 1988), I've decided to try to locate and buy a good unmolested example of a 1300 Lido for a full professional restoration. Alternately I would consider an already restored 'mint' example should there be any out there?
Is there a register of cars? I was curious to know how many RHD Lido's were originally made and still on the road. I believe the Lido was a UK only model? Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated.
Difficult to know for sure, we where talking about this at the last NEC and I’ve been trying to keep some notes and think I know of 14 UK cars, there are possibly more maybe 20+. Finding one will be tricky...they where also made in left hand drive, there’s a German enthusiast site with a list of cars...
