Basically to cut a sad story short.. my ex did a runner with my daughter, and in order to try and fund her rescue I had to sell my exxie.. now, down the line and with a budget of very low I would like to try and get back into it! Looking for a cheap, long term project. Any cars out there to help a beleaguered former owner back into the fold?!??!?! I'm in Bristol these days but can travel. The is in advance guys and girls

Christian,
I have just had my x1/9's gearbox go on me and I was thinking of selling.
Mine isn't so much a project as I just had her MOT'd about a week ago.
I bought a new set of alloys with good tyres on to get her through the mot as the tyres on the original alloys were remoulds.
The guy I bought them from said they came off his x19 but they didn't come with the spigot so it difficult to get them dead centre plus after balancing the weight just touch the brake caliper.
She's a good example and rust free apart from a couple of tiny spots starting to show on the nearside rear wheel arch.
Good engine, revs nice.
It's just had new suspension.
I'm in Bristol
