Thinking of buying an X1/9

Hi
Only just signed up after a recommendation from a fellow member sorry didn't get his name
i have been thinking of buying an X1/9 for some time have done the usual google searches and seen what is out there, only problem is unsure as to the integrity of the sellers and what they say there cars are like, i am based in North Yorkshire so ideally would like one with mot already in place, i intend to use it on a daily basis so low mileage would be a bonus and bodywork in decent condition.
Would welcome your thoughts and any leads you may have
