I suspect it's rusting in a heap somewhere or been crushed
I'll send off a V888 to Swansea to see if they will give me the last owners details but I suspect with data protection they wont...

A vehicle report on it says it has had 4 owners. So it had another hop since the guy I sold it to in 1987...
I guess I will have to wait until DVLA respond with a ya or nay on the last owner info.
I'm hoping its been stashed in a barn somewhere in Suffolk waiting for me to find it.
A friend of mine about 10 years ago located a 1959 mini in a barn in Norfolk. Chassis number 50. It's been rebuilt into a mint car now but was quite a find. Perhaps I'll be lucky.
The guy who had the mini was working on Alec Issigoniss lightweight special. Quite an experience to see a car that is part of the Mini history and automotive myth...

There is a guy still at my works that has an X1/9 (its in a bad state) but its his daily runabout. This could be the guy I sold my X1/9 to originally in 1987.. he might have some details or he could be storing it somewhere..
I'll post a note on his windscreen tomorrow and see if anything comes of it...
thanks for all the ideas and grey matter prompting
I'll keep on the case and hopefully I will get a result one way or the other and let you know.
Cheers,
Terry.

Due to the data protection act they can't give any names and addresses so unless it's uncovered in a barn or someone hears about it thats the end of it.
