My car is a 1988 SE on an E plate in red, see hyperlink.

It has no MOT, but I have never had too much trouble in the past. It comes with a range of what I would call standard X1/9 "characteristics"- Some bubbling on the inner wings, a few rusty bits and a tendency to get hot if not "perfectly tuned" but the body is better than a lot I have seen, it generally runs well as X1/9's go its not a bad one.

Last year I fitted electronic ignition to try and keep it "perfectly tuned"
but was unable to do the other jobs that needed doing and by the time I thought I may MOT it it was winter again. There is little chance of me sorting it this year due to the time needed by a high maintenance toddler and an impending new arrival.

It must be worth about £450, and is a shame for it to sit in my garage all year.

Its located near Loughborough Leicestershire and I can be contacted on 01509
554015 (Evenings + week ends) or on d.j.battersby@lboro.ac.uk

This car has now gone, I hope that the new owner enjoys it as I did. Thanks to the X1/9 club, for their support as although it was a few years ago since I last used the club forum I always amazed at the speed and speed and quality of technical advice.

Keep it up!

An X X1/9 owner
