Due to a house move I am going to have to get rid of one of my X1/9s.
Red one-. F-reg, 62k miles. Grand Finale with incorrect wheels (Speedline 13x5.5J). K&N Air Filter. Luminition. Lowered by 2 inches*.
I’ve owned this car for 9 years in which I’ve covered 9000 miles. Bodywork is in very good condition although it has been re-sprayed (slightly too light mica rosso) sometime before my ownership. Apart from a leaky gearbox it is in perfect running order.
*Ride is a little harsh on the road but surefooted on a track. I am breaking a third car at the moment and I intend fitting the standard springs from that to this car if I keep it.
Yellow one-. V-reg. ?miles. Dallara style body kit (Blond X190, inc. stupidly big wing not shown in photo). Guy Croft built 1326cc engine. Weber Twin 40 DCNFs. Auto Sensation exhaust. Superlite 3-piece wheels, 13x6.5 front, 13x7.5 back. Kumho V700 tyres 175/50 front, 215/40 back. 4 Point harness. (Only drivers seat fitted).
Modified for use on sprints/hillclimbs but is road legal. Wheel/tyre combination look too small for the arches but are light and grippy. Wheels and tyres have only covered about 200 miles (Cost just over £1,000). No MOT at the moment but will be sold with one. (I want to drive it again).
I’m hoping for around £1,500 for the Red. £2,250 for the yellow.
Many photos can be provided on request.
Thanks for reading,
Simon

Both cars are still up for sale.
The yellow car got it's MOT today at first time of asking. On a rolling road this car measured 88hp at 7,500 rpm. That is at the wheels.
I've extracted the gearbox out of my spares car and am having it checked out before fitting it to the red car.

A further update....
The spare gearbox has been rebuilt with new parts where required, I've just got to find the time to fit it. Once this is done the asking price will go up!
Non members who can not see the picture...the yellow car was January 2005 car of the month.
Both cars are located near Cheltenham just off the M5.

This is turning into a bit of a blog.......anyway the gearbox is in.
The red car has been enjoyed over the years. Some pictures here of it being put through its paces at Prescott:-
