TLC wanted, Cheltenham

For this car not me!



Last night I rescued this car from the scrappy. The MOT expired on the 15th September. It has been garaged and only covered 60 miles since the last test. The man I bought it off is elderly and in failing health.

My intention was to break this car for spares for my other two. However, although it is very tatty and needs a new battery (and maybe alternator too) I am told it should pass an MOT with little work. (I found out about this car from the mechanic and MOT tester who has maintained it for the past 12 years).

Because of lack of space, time and least of all money I cannot take this car on and keep it alive. If you think you can, and are interested enough to have a look, mp me.

The car is in Cheltenham now, just 2 minutes off the M5. In two or three weeks I will be moving it to darkest Wales for dismantling.

Hi,

No I haven't an MOT failer sheet as it hasn't been put in for one. I can give some more details now though;

Odometer reads 75260 miles and in addition to the duff battery the windscreen washer isn't working and one headlight motor is out of sync. Also the handbrake sticks on. Well it has only done 60 miles in the last year.

I drove the car two miles home and apart from the wonky headlight and poping out of reverse backing out of the drive it performed pretty well.

I reitterate though that the body is rough. I can send lots of photos if you're still interested.
