Hi everyone, I want to sell my low mileage VS as I need the space in my garage, and to be honest I don't drive the car much any more. I put the car up for sale last year, but only had two people interested, one in Kent (600 miles away) and one from Ireland (even further). Nothing came of these two potential buyers (neither came to actually see and drive the car) so I put it away for the winter again and have had a few drives this summer but am still wanting to sell it.
I have had the car since 2002 and am the third owner. It is in great condition but there are several small dents and scratches on the bodywork. However the car underneath is solid ad it drives really well with no oil leaks, smoke from the exhaust or any mechanical issues. Third gear was getting a bit notchy but I have been living with it for a while, but decided last month to get it sorted. The gearbox was dropped, cleaned and stripped and the third gear synchro ring replaced. No other issues were found by the garage, so it was rebuilt and put back in the car, which now drives beautifully with no crunching in any gear.
I have a complete history of the car including the original sales receipt and the service history from scratch. Since owning it the car has never seen a winter, always garaged and only comes out in the summer.
I have always done my own servicing (apart from the gearbox fix) so over the years have replaced the cam belt (last year), the shock absorbers, all four brake callipers and discs, the brake and clutch master cylinders, the exhaust, the fuel lines and fuel filter, the coil and plug leads, condenser and plugs, replaced the flexible brake hoses with braided hoses, the oil pressure sender, the fan belt and other consumables such as oil, oil filter and air filter.
The driver's door skin was replaced twenty years ago, and the passenger door skin repaired about six years ago. Weld repairs to the sills rear of both doors was carried out about six years ago as well.
The interior is in good condition, and the seats are original and with no tears or splits.
It was MoT'd last April, and has 48869 genuine miles on the clock.
We are in the North East of Scotland which I realise is a long way for most folk to travel, but if you are interested in the car I can send detailed videos, and am happy to answer any questions.
I am asking £5000 for the car.
Thanks for looking!
I am having problems with the listing, it has put some pictures in upside down, and doubled up all of them. I am unable to edit the pictures on the posting, the site won't let me. I have also tried to cancel the posting and start again, but can't do that either..
Many thanks to Andy for correcting the photos!
