I have recently joined the club following the purchase of a 1985 X19 VS. I was pleased to take it out for Auto Italia at Brooklands last saturday for an enjoyable day where I met a handful of members. I received some good advice from Ollie Vayle who gave my car a quick once over and advised me that all looked well apart from a leaking clutch slave cylinder. Well how right he was. I had just made it home after a nice drive back when the clutch pedal gave up the ghost.
Anyway I plan to tackle this job in the near future. What I would like to ask is if there are any club members in or close to my area (Watford) that are in a position to inspect my X19 and provide me with a valuation so that I can get agreed value insurance cover?
Sorry no-one has offered to assist thus far. Sadly the true X experts who might be able to appraise your car don't come here any more (Ollie Vayle for instance!).
How much did you pay for the car? Have you got some photos to show its condition?
