I have had an email about a blue 1300 for sale in West Wales.

I have for sale a 1977 Fiat X1/9 suitable for parts.
I have had the car for about fifteen years. It was an abandoned
restoration which had had the engine rebuilt and some mechanical parts
replaced but has not run since.
There is a V5.
Rather than accept the £150 scrap value I wondered if any of your club members might be
interested at the same price. Please note: I am not a breaker - the e-


I live in west Wales -
close to Llanybydder.

Hi just got this home. Interior is good and mileage is 52k (seats not shown but in good condition)but as you can see bodywork not exactly concours. Had a good look around it and the cills,nosecone,front corners,rear corners,floorpans and windscreen surround have got rot. So there is only one option and that is to buy a mig and try my best and get this thing back on the road, i know it may look bonkers but with so few 1300's left i feel it would not be right to scrap it(and i want a 1300 anyway). Things like the doors,boot and bonnet are easily replacable but the front corners is going to be a struggle so if anybody out there has got two front corners going please get in touch.

Hi, i have sourced metal body parts for the restoration, but in the meantime i have purchased this red one which is rust free and all welding done, so i need to decide if the blue one is worth all the time and money because it really is a rotter.

Hi, I have started work on this red one today and I need orange 1300 door cards, so wondering has anyone got any for sale?. The original ones that came with it were stripped of the vinyl and replaced with some sort of carpet(mmm very nice). My first job on this is too get it started and see what electrics I have got.

The red one is pretty good it has all the rot cut out of it and new metal welded in and copper water pipes but some of the bodywork has not been done to the highest standard which has made the decision as too what colour to paint it difficult,because it used to be orange and I would like to put back to original but with not so perfect bodywork it might not look right, so do I re paint red or a completely different colour, I still can't believe this was missed on ebay because I only paid £450 for it and it came with all the bits that weren't on it. As for the blue one I am going to give it a go but it is a major body work project, obviously engine and all running gear will need a strip down but that is the easy part on this car, some people would say scrap it but with so few 1300's left it wouldn't be right.
