Hi All
Im thinking of selling my car just featured in Practical Classics
1980 was a 1500
Currently car of the month
Its had a full back to shell restoration with photos and i have spent thousands on it,
It has a fully rebuilt with mainly new parts Lancia Delta Turbo engine 1600HF motor
CD 31s (magnesium alloy)
Tax and MOT All docs and engine number are correct with DVLA
Cheap insurance
Just fitted a new Turbo uprated from a Garrett T2 to a T25
1300 bumpers
1300 indicators
1300 engine cover
one off green paint work based on Fiat 1970s colour
great seats and interiour
Runs great
Progressive Jamex lowering springs on new gas shocks
And the list goes on
very fast but comfy and nice to drive.
no rust in amazing condition

Im looking for £6000 or very near offer.

Nooo - don't sell it Mark! Summers just arriving - All the time and effort spent on that car. Trust me - one visit to a meet and you see someone else driving it you'll wish you'd never sold it. Unless its for financial reasons - keep that beauty..........

I've had my Lotus for 20 years and bought my 1300 back after several years North of the border as I missed it! Have you thought about putting it into storage? Absence makes the heart grow fonder?

here is a start will have to go through all the paperwork to tally up all the other bits, im sure ive missed a lot off.

Brakes: Uno Turbo Front fully stripped and rebuilt with new seals recent front drilled and vented discs, Rear callipers standard but serviced with new grooved and drilled performance discs, Goodridge stainless hose’s all round recent performance brake pads all round.
Shocks: KYB new Gas struts all round with Jamex progressive lowering springs.
Wheels: Cromodora CD31’s Magnesium alloys (very rare) were blasted and powder coated a few years ago, one or two chips very light, Abarth centre caps, all round tyres are 175/60/13 Continentals, all 4 wheel bearings have been replaced. Front wheels are spaced out with hub centric spacers by 15mm front and rear by 20mm

Ultra sonically cleaned injectors, with new seals and jets.
Uprated Turbo from a Garrett T2 to a TX25 fully serviced with new seals and bearings (just spent £300 to have this done)
New performance uprated clutch kit and clutch release bearings, gearbox was stripped and rebuilt a few years ago and has had new miller oil gearbox fluid in.
Recored radiator with new thermostat switch and new front radiator hoses.
The engine is rubber mounted with a mount at the base a side mount a gear box mount and two stabiliser bars one front top and one lower rear.
Brand new custom made drive shaft on passenger side existing x1/9 for drivers side shaft all greased and new bolts
Piper cross cone air filter, Toyota Celica GT4 intercooler, Oxford oil cooler
Custom made exhaust and Lotus Elise rear silencer.
Gear selector from MGTF cables are two long MGF cables, linkage system for change was made by myself

Interior
1300 seats in green orange and brown, orange carpet 1300, brown leather door cards, Brown dash and early 1500 trim, 1300 clock surrounds (original speedo and clocks) Expensive Kenwood CD player, Kenwood component speakers and amplifier.
Mortney wood steering wheel, uprated electric window switches.

Body (No Rot anywhere)
Both front lower wings replaced with original panels
Both doors replaced with mint second-hand doors, sourced front 1300 spoiler from America, 1300 engine cover and side trim, 1300 side emblems, door plates, all new old stock plastic side trim, original 1300 bumpers blasted and repainted, new old stock over riders custom made brackets, front 1300 indicators, side indicators from American cars
1300 front grill paint work painted in lime green paint to match early seventies original Fiat paint (actually modern Aprillia motorcycle paint)
Rear lights converted one reverse light to be fog light (tidys back up and no separate mounted fog light).
Bad points
The inside window trim was never replaced and wants replacing or cleaning and polishing, carpet is from a 1300 and doesn’t quite fit right with 1500 trim but hard to notice.

Things I was planning to do
Sirrocco front radiator mod
rear boot inside wells would benefit from a good sanding and repaint (no rot)

With the sale
Spare new twin cam cylinder head, for flow and porting and fitting fast road cams to for more power, full set of original 1300 speedline wheels in great condition complete with centre caps.

Hi Mark this was a copy of the email i sent you last Friday, "Hi Mark, when are you back from France? I'm presuming you've gone to Le Mans this weekend? I'm trying to work out the logistics of getting to see the car as I'm on the London/Kent borders and was wondering if you were coming through this way with the car on your way back from France? Otherwise I've got to try to get up to you? Can you let me know what is possible and when as I really want to see the car?" I didn't get a reply back from you, are you back yet? regards Karam Singh

Hi Karam
Yes was at Le Mans but took the Robin Hood not the Exxy (stupid really as the Exxy would of been a better drive), Im going to take the car back to paint in the next week to have a few marks removed so its back to mint (these are marks i made whilst assembling the car).
Once its done and all shiny i will post that its ready to view.

Mark
