- Not that I'm saying X1/9s rust at all!
You could say a new project, or you could say old project, as it was started in 2001 and took 3 years before being in full road use then, taken off the road abaout 6 years ago and apart 2 years ago for some finishing work on bodywork, with not much happening since.
Storage space, I had four cars on the road this summer in full use. My Strada Abarth, which was a twelve year restoration for myself never covered one road mile due to never joining those 4 other cars with a MOT, just to many cars, cant drive them all at once, shows and sunny days out.
I have 5 other X1/9s which is quite a few really, these take up all my spare storage space as well.
I also find it hard to just pop out in this car, putting more miles on the clock, not a problem on any other car I have and had before? 21500 miles now.
It would be nice to keep it within the club tho... hence this extra info.
Its a strong high geared drive. Taking a while to adjust to the superchargers quick pick up without spinning the wheels while pulling away with its lower torquey revs, solid handling making a standard car seam rather loose and jelly like afterwards.

Shikan is also the chap who restored my car FAG. Very talented chap.
IIRC FAG was originally purchased as a spares car to assist with the initial development of this car but on closer examination he realised it was too good a car to break.
He went on to work on FAG before commencing with the 'Green Monster' of Ollies here.
Superb conversion and worth every penny IMO. It would cost you double that to build from scratch. Best of luck with the sale Ollie.............

How about an ex-customer who lost thousands of pounds to poorly performed work - I've seen for myself how good they could be and equally how bad.
