1977 S-reg 1300 X1/9
Yellow (was originally met green).
43,000 miles.
Some history but not much, unfortunately.
4 previous owners.

Bought last year with a plan to get MoT'd, return it to its original colour etc but work, kids, DIY, other X1/9 etc have all conspired against me and I've managed approximately 1 hour with it in the last 6 months (and that was to take pictures !).
Amazingly all parts are there and intact (front grill, bumpers, stainless coolant tank, wheel centre caps, luggage etc) but the front 'rubber' spoiler is damaged and there's a dent in the rear wing on the right hand side.

I drove the car when I picked it up last year although it's not run since.

This is a really reluctant sale, but due to space (and time) issues it just has to go.

Located in Warwicksire. MAY be able to deliver.

Would like £1,500 but open to sensible offers.

Guy,

The honest answer is that I'm not sure - I've literally just not had the time to get around the car and work out what needs doing. Obviously there's the dent in the rear corner and the front spoiler issue, but other than that I'm not sure.

It could probably do with a jolly good service and a cambelt change, and personally I'd strip the brakes at each corner and lube the sliding plates to make it all work nicely.

Long term it needs to be green again, that's my biggest wish for this car 8)

Funny thing, actually it's quite nice. I've got the car listed on Ebay at the moment and I'm getting lots of messages through from people saying "I used to have on eof those" or "I've got 2 1300's" etc. The car obviously stirs people's emotions ! It's nice that people take the time to send something like that.

Now stop sending me messages and just bid, dammit. :P

In my view, it's photo's that sell an item on ebay - you get good photo's, and you end up with 150 people watching it

I'm not sure on the history of the car as it came with very little paperwork. I wonder whether Rob (membership) would have a record of the number plate in his database ?
