1989 X1/9 Gran Finale in Mica Blue
Two owners, my wife’s car for last 17 years. 42500 miles. Reluctantly offered for sale but almost unused in recent years and I need the garage space.
Taxed to March 2010, MOT to August 2010
Underside very good per MOT inspector. Body good, small amount of corrosion in driver’s door. Mechanically sound , no overheating, no oil leaks and handles like an X1/9 should.
The car has been looked after with oil changes at 3000 miles or less. Any significant rust, as in those horrible double skinned areas, cut out and welded. (It had the factory wax treatment with dealer check up at 6 years which certainly helps but doesn’t get everywhere)
Lumenition ignition, otherwise standard
Bad points are:
The Alcantara is ragged on the driver’s seat back and side bolster and probably going elsewhere. (Some matching material available). The paint match is not great between the front and the back. (Bonnet and nose cone resprayed after lacquer lifted )
…….and the clock has just stopped!
