Well folks the third poor british summer in a row has taken it's toll on my desire to own a convertible car, so the GF could be for sale to the right person.

The car -

1989 Gran Finale in Mica Blue

Just turned 10k miles with all MOT's to prove

1 Elderly lady owner before us (c/w current and 2 old style log books)

New quality tyres with unused spare wheel and original Pirelli's in mint
condition will be supplied aswell. All wheels mint with "Ruote" decals intact.

Seats are pristine and have been covered since new

Correct GF spoiler fitted

All decals on windcreen etc as delivered

2 sets of keys with dealer fobs, tax disc holder and No plate surround

Wallet with manuals and service history inc

Loads of receipts from recomission in 2007, inc water pump, brake flexibles, seals, new clutch hydraulics, full engine / transmission service.

Still on original disks and Fiat pads all round. No lip on disks yet

Lumenition

Cat 2 immobiliser fitted

Spare Targa for storage

Custom made cover

5000 trouble free miles since 2007 at around 40mpg

"Favourite 1500" at 2008 National, runner up in 2009

This car is probably the best in the UK, there are lower mileage but none in the same overall condition. Truly in timewarp condition with no expense spared while in our ownership. No rust anywhere. Wheel arches, suspension and underside as clean as exterior bodywork. Interior - as new. Never used on salted roads, stored on blocks over winter, only been wet 5 or 6 times in its 20 year life. Only used in dark since owned by us!

A reluctant sale to the right person and a rare opportunity to own a very special X1/9 that's well known in the club

P.M. me for further details

Hi Richard,
Sorry to hear that you're considering selling what can only be described as a 'truly as new' X1/9.
So much for the long hot barbeque summer we've been promised for so long.
Certainly going to be a good buy for someone.
Good luck with the sale.
Mick

Thanks Mick,

I've been thinking about it for a few weeks now but it suddenly seems a bit odd now the "for sale" has gone up. It's not the cars condition that stops me using it in the rain, it's just that I can't see the point of going out in a convertible car when it's going to rain and it has done a lot of raining round here over the last couple of months.

Sorry Adi, we've decided to keep it and I'm pleased we have as the weather has been great so far this year. Just on the look out for a Green 1300 now to keep it company.
