Yep, its mine, I'm selling up,everything classic car related I have to concentrate on bikes for a few years-love going abroad and going out on my bike whenever possible,.. Still will be a club member though..X1/9's will always be No1 (on 4 wheels)

1st.
My X1/9, most of you on here will have seen pics and postings about the car,its been my daily runner for quite some time now,used right through the winter this yer with 100% reliability! 60 miles a day through the snow and rain,and the occaisional weekend jaunt.

I'll start with the good points!
Brand new heavy duty Xantia diesel battery (Varta)
Brand new alternator
CSC full system
Tarox discs
New rear pads
Goodridge hoses
Jamex springs
very very solid
mechanically very very good
Kenwood CD player
very nice tan leather interior-no holes in door panels!
Less than 42,000 miles
K+N Filter
U.S spec marker lights
Starts no probs (see below)- roasting hot or freezing cold,runs at about 75-85 degrees at all times.Excellent heater!
I'm getting over 35 MPG
Taxed end July,
MOT up soon, but no probs to put a year on it.
Loads of spares, including new sill, 36k gearbox,loads of trim bits,lights,glass,some new boxed bits Bertone manuals,wiring diagrams..I'm not really sure whats all there! All go with the car,along with original handbook in Bertone folder..



Bad points:
Some rust bubbles appearing on the bottom quarter of the car...loads of salt this year,all cosmetic so far-I have paint to refinish it.

Never got round to painting the door shuts, still half dark blue. outside of car is sprayed in original top colour,with semi gloss black roof and engine cover

Paintwork not bodyshop quality,but looks very nice

Needs the accelerator cable replaced,been running with a bodged one for over a year now :oops: ( I have a new one to go with it...)

Offside headlamp can be lazy at times...sometimes lowers 10 secs after the other one,both rise together!

Autochoke a pain, never bothered as always starts-even in -12!

No anti rattle clips in front pads.. I hate em, but pads rattle on bumpy roads..

Drivers window goes up a wee bit too far, and is sluggish..

3 spoke 1300 wheels. 1 centre cap missing,non matching spare. I have a few different odd wheels

I can't find the reg document anywhere.. have the green bit though

Looking for about £1200- for £1200 you'll get a years MOT and a service,along with everything X1/9 I have.Really want this car to go to an enthusiast,its too good to be used as an "ordinary" car or to be left to rot.

Lancia Beta HPE 1600.
Wanted one of these for years, and got this one from a club member..but now realised I don't have the time,cash or space to give it the home it deserves :oops:

Y reg, power steering,body work very good apart from a few bubbles/stains. the A pillars need work though-they are holed. Rear of sills a bit soft.small hole in spare wheel well.New timing belt,new hatch struts and I've converted BMW E30 projector headlamps to fit.New rear pads. mechanically good, brakes need attended to-the drag a bit for a mile or so. Very original and will be one of the best in the country when finished properly. Is mot'd for a good while,I used it daily for a time,but it was a bit thirsty for my commute. Some spares including new back box.Have original handbooks,manuals etc.

I'd just like my money back on this, and half of what I've spent on parts. It MUST go to someone who will repair and restore it. I'll advertise it on the lancia club website too. £275 and a sollemn promise it wont be left to deteriorate any more.

X1/9 is sold though, just taken a deposit from a guy who drove all the way down from ABERDEEN to buy it!!

Search is on for a mint 1300,very cheap. should take a few years!

He's been threatened..keen as mustard so he is..., he used to have an RX8, but when I demonstrated the X1/9's handling and grip on the famous Glenrothes roundabouts,he turned into a babbling mess. h-h-h how does this thing stick to the road like that with these skinny wee tyres..?

Its listed as £1400 but he will take the first offer of £1,000.... He is relocating to Spain..
