MOT till May 2008. Outrageously loud, revs off the scale. Would suit commute to work.

I don't have the time or money anymore. It's just sitting in my garage collecting dust.

Located in Cheltenham.

I will be moving house in two months time. There is no garage space for this car at my new house. IT MUST GO!

Any offer considered.

Why you should,
Has as-new wheels and tyres, performance springs from alternative autos, re-cored radiator.
13" Mountney steering wheel.
Auto sensations 4-1 exhaust system with new silencer.
Insurance is surprisingly cheap. I pay £200 a year.

Why you shouldn't,
No heater/demister, radio, passenger seat, carpet, tatty round the edges.

is there a psychologist amongst us who could tell me why I really want this car when I've already got a practically identical one?

I’m no expert on performance engines but here is what I can glean from the build sheet (I’ve put a question mark after bits I don’t understand);

Block
Bore/Hone: Yes
Reface: Yes
Pistons: Race

Crank Assembly
Purge Galleries T&P (?): Yes
Oilways modified
Grind 10/10
Balance with FW/Clutch
(No modification to flywheel)
New bearings

Head
Degreased, beadblasted & Refaced
Valve seat mods: GC L/D SPEC 3< (?)
Guides: GC Race
Cam: Customer supplied (KC CB 04)
Valve springs: Triples
Head mods: POSS (?) Partial G/F

This work was done in 1993 so other mods may have been done since then. There are no oil leaks so externally the engine looks in very good condition. I was told it was built for a race car and as such covered some 500 miles. It was then fitted to this car for the previous owner in 2000, covered another few hundred miles (I can find out exactly how many tomorrow) before I bought it in February 2002. Since then I have covered no more than 300 miles (Mainly to and from and up Prescott Hill Climb).

Hope this helps.

my head build sheet says "FULL SPEC GASFLOW REFACE FOR FLATNESS "
I'm sure he wouldn't have put a standard head on that engine, so i'd say it meant partial gas flow?

The car is now sold and heading for a new life in Ireland. Anybody spot it on the M6 today on the back of a transporter?

I'm missing it already. I had forgotten how easy it is to get sideways. Put on a little show for the lorry driver (by accident). Bit slippery the roads at the moment.

Pleased to hear you have sold it. Someone will have fun with it.
