Who ever the buyer is he/she lives in blackburn lancs here in the north west. I wonder if they are club meMbers. they may need all the help they can get.
Hopefully it will be restored to its former glory

Evidently an enthusiast and probably owns at least one other, judging by the number of other X1/9-parts purchased (from the buyers/sellers feedback record), including a job-lot of old club magazine issues:
cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem...60&item=220001503167
Did I just raise the issue of the magazine? Ooops! Mustn't cross threads.....

Mag arrived today. Great stuff. But while (almost) on the present thread, I see we have - yet again - for club members weekend entertainment:
cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIAT-X19-CONVERTIBLE-REME...0014627314QQihZ012QQ
..for which, at the time of writing, our favourite seller has received just one offer. But the would-be buyer (ID partially hidden for anonymity...that's right, we really have no idea) has been declined. Will the offer be increased? Will the seller risk losing the sale to this buyer? Will ownership of this vehicle finally change hands? I can't wait....Pass the popcorn.

well spotted Richard! bidding on your own item - now that is naughty, but hardly surprising for this character. Does anyone actually know how much was paid for YAP....? I am feeling depressed at the thought of someone spending in the region of £5k on a car that has an interesting but possibly dodgy past.

Just read his Ebay descriptions Mark, the bloke's a nutter! Seems he knows more about old films than X1/9s! The "buy it now" prices go up & down like a tarts knickers!

cheers,

Nige

..and I understand from other threads that "chelsea-dollshouse-antiques" is raymanboy's alter-ego. I see the offer has been withdrawn/cancelled and c-d-h is now offering the 1300 at a reduced price for a quick sale. But will rayman*** take the bait? I'm on the edge of my seat...

The connection is in his head, & his head only! I would be worried for you Mark, if you went on a date with him!

Cheers,

Nige

Is this the same person who has just purchased a 1978 X1/9 Lido tax & test for £770.00 on ebay???
