Discovery Channel - USA program Mythbusters (they checkout urban myths). Not sure the program has been aired in the UK - I don't get Discovery and the program was downloaded by a friend to demonstrate his Video iPod's output to TV. The myth = 2 trucks collide squashing a compact
and the trucks are towed away without realising the compact is there. The compact used in the test = a donated X1/9 - Bertone, two-tone white and black, red leather, 4 slot (Abarth?) wheels. Pre-test - the engine was knackered, the steering wheel and seats worn. They had 2 attempts at trying to get the 3 vehicles to collide in line and at the same time. There wasn't enough X1/9 for a third go. The program was long winded at getting to the collision and, of course, it was a traumatic viewing experience. Regards, Anil
