Does anyone know anything about it? Featured in Icsunonove in 96.

It has had one serious makeover that is for sure. About the only thing I can recognise is the roof. Looks a sorry sight now.

I'd have bought it just for the wheels though, especially if they're 4x98 .. imagine how cool they'd look on a 'regular' Exxy.

This kit was in the club magazine some time ago.
Was only a matter of time before this one off resurfaced.
Was intended as the prototype for kits to be built. But to my knowledge was the only one ever built. Unfortunately, we will not see many of these interesting kits about, as the molds were destroyed.
I am lead to believe that at the time of launch cost of the kit was a deciding factor in it's failure to win orders.
It's an interesting variant in the history of the X1-9 and kits it sporned, even if not to peoples individual taste.

Also, looks like the seller ended the auction early. :roll:

It certainly is the most extreme kit I have seen for the X1/9.

This is featured on pages 22 - 25 in the October 96 issue, Its The Prova Countach Kit Modified By Amalfi. The article was written by Dave Potts and he got to drive it as well.....what a stroke of luck....

I think it looks great...I think it would need a load of work and cash to get it back up and running in its former glory..

You are right with the work and cash needed to return it to its former glory. Shame it has been allowed to get into that condition.

There are some guys on that XANA site talking about how they could have it shipped out to the states.
