X1/9 Hillclimb action Cultra 2010

The Cultra Hill Climb is one of the oldest speed events in the whole of the UK, first run in May 1905.

Last Saturday I had a go. Watch for 1st car.

looks like a right blast! Better than the 20 second 'hillclimb' at brooklands.

Is it just my biased loyalty or did the exxie look like it went round the corner faster than the other lot (though the mk2 escort was pretty quick)

The video is from the 1st practice session of the day. I have done the event before so perhaps was feeling braver than some! Runs got faster during the day.

The X1/9 generally performs well on tight bendy events though.
