It really is smaller than you think sometimes.

I am currently out of the UK on a 4-month overseas job where the weather is pretty warm. It's 43 degrees C today, and it's only spring! (that will probably challenge most exxies). I am working as part of a team of only 200 UK staff with very few other Brits around.

Well I was in the dining facility having some nosh when one of my colleagues spotted my Club T-shirt and asked if I owned one. I of course confirmed I did and he introduced himself as none other than Tony, one half of the Vodka boys.

Hows that for a small world; thousands of miles from the UK in a small select team and up turns Tony, who in all the times we have had Club meets in the UK I never crossed paths with.

It's one of the last places I would expect to meet a fellow club member.

Not surprisingly the conversation from that point was slightly biased, and included explaining to one young lady what an X1/9 actually is (Oh I'm getting old).

Slightly less surprising to me was one of the team is also a Pompey fan who wears his Pompey shirt wherever he goes. There must be masses of Pompey fans because no matter what remote place in the world I am there is always one (or more) in a Pompey club shirt.

Anyone else spotted the ever present Pompey fan, or another X1/9 club member when they least expected?
