I happened to be re-reading September's Practical Classics magazine when I noticed that their monthly "Cut and Shut" cartoon illustration (which humorously mates the front end of one classic to the tail end of another) features a Messerschmitt bubble-car front end fused to the rear end of a Fiat X1/9. It looks pretty good actually!
